BABY TALK

God is looking for coordinated Christians whose walk matches their talk.

Have you ever watched a baby in the early stages of walking? The little guy steps cautiously, then wobbles as he gets his balance, takes some faltering steps, finally falling on his well padded bottom. Everybody laughs, including the baby, who is jabbering nonsense while drooling uncontrollably.

It's funny in a baby but rather sad in a full grown adult. Yet that's the way some Christians live out their spiritual lives. They walk like babies, jabber like babies, and fall in their rears like babies. Instead of growing up into full-size spiritual adults, they remain babies.

Every one of us starts out as a baby in the Lord, but God doesn't want any of us to stay that way. His desire is that we grow into spiritually mature believers whose walk and talk glorify Him.

You have been Christians a long time now and you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things. You are like babies who drink only milk and cannot eat solid food.
