Thanking God

Thank the Lord each day for His gifts to you
We too often take for granted the fact that God is always with us. His protection is constant; His comfort is ever-present. Wouldn't it be tragic if God remembered to attend to us only as often as we remembered to be thankful to Him.
Make it a regular part of your life to thank the Lord for His continuing mercies. Mealtime is a great way to remember. Saying a prayer over your food isn't really required. (It doesn't sterilize the food or give it a nutritional boost.)But since you remember to eat several times a day take that opportunity to spend a minute or two acknowledging God's importance in your life.
God wouldn't let a moment go by without thinking of you. Try not to let a meal go by without thinking of Him.
"when you go through deep waters and great trouble,
I will be with you...
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;the flames will not consume you.
For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior."

Talk About Others

People who talk a lot about themselves seldom want to hear what others have to say.
They say the sweetest sound we hear is the sound of our own voice, not because we like how our voice sounds, but because we like to hear ourselves talk. If we didn't , why would we talk so much?
You already know all about yourself, so why would you want to talk about yourself, except to impress others? what you don't realize is that the only thing you impress them with is your pride.
When you talk to others, talk about others (and we're not talking gossip here.). Ask them questions. Find out what they think and what makes them tick. Don't worry about stating your opinion. When you show interest in others, others find you interesting, and it's only a matter of time before they want to know what makes you tick.
"For the proud will be humbled
but the humble will be honored."

Pear Jam

Good afternoon to my family and friends I just made pear jam and if you are interested in getting a jar and live near by pm its $ 4.00 a jar..Have a great day Blessings

The Worry Substitute

The best way to stop worrying is to start praying.
It's hard to stop worrying. Although we've never smoked, we can imagine that it's just as difficult to stop worrying as it is to stop smoking. Both activities are a form of addiction. Even though the habit is harmful to you,you can't help but engage in the activity.
So what's the best way to stop? With smoking, the experts say that rather than quit "cold turkey" you have to substitute something else-a patch, a piece of gum, that sort of thing . Worrying is no different. You can't just turn off your worrying like you turn off a faucet. You need to substitute something else. The Expert says that you need to substitute prayer. when you get an urge to worry, pray. when you think you need to worry, pray.Take the monkey off your back in every detail of your life and give it to God through prayer.
He will be gracious if you ask for help
He will respond instantly to the sound of your cries.

Tuesday Happy Days

Want to say hi to all my friends and family... Have a great day....

Finding A True Friend

Select friends based on their character, not their compliments.
When you were young, you didn't have much choice about your friends. They were probably the other kids who lived on your block. Since your parents made the housing decisions, you got what came with the neighborhood. Even as you got older, your friends at school were determined in large part by the classes that you had. (Again, you had little input in the whole matter.)
You are now at a stage when  you get to select your own friends. Don't let it happen by default. Be very intentional about it. Look for friends who will raise you up to a higher level; avoid the people the people who would pull you down to theirs.
As iron sharpens iron, a friend sharpens a friend.

God Wants Your Problems

Let your difficulties be opportunities for God's control.
Just about every problem you worry about is outside your control, which gives you the perfect opportunity to give your problems to God. Do you have a health issue you're dealing with, and there's nothing the doctors can do? Give your health to God. Do you lack confidence for that upcoming test, even though you've studied all you can?Give your test to God. Is your boss making life miserable for you despite your best efforts? Give your job to God.
At their worst, problems cause us to worry. At their best, problems test our faith. Do we trust God enough to let Him control everything in our lives? Are we willing to give Him our big problems as well as the small stuff? He's willing to take control of our difficulties if we just let him.
But God will use this persecution to show his justice.

God Will Never Leave You

God is in the business of helping, not hurting us.
One of the greatest fears we have is abandonment. As a baby, you probably cried when your mother left the room. As a youngster, you may have been left behind accidentally, or maybe you got separated in a crowd. Although your parents didn't meant it, you felt abandoned, and the uneasiness remains with you to this day.
As an adult, you don't fear being abandoned physically as much as you hate the idea of emotional abandonment. None of us wants to be left alone during times of need or crisis, but it happens. You may even feel as though God has abandoned you at times. What you need to realized is that can never happen. It may seem that God is far away at times, but the reality is that He is always right beside you. When those feelings of abandonment come, rest on the promises of God's Word,
For the Lord does not abandon anyone forever.
Though be brings grief,
he also shows compassion according to
the greatness of his unfailing love.
For he does not enjoy hurting people or causing them sorrow.

Your Values

Most people treat their values like a piece of furniture they move it around if it gets in their way.
Humans are good at making rules. Our country has rules, our states and cities have rules, and even families make their own rules. Deciding on the rules is not a problem.,but keeping them is.
The same thing could be said about values there is no storage of discussion about them. But talking about them isn't doing much good. the problem is living them.
God is calling you to live according to a set of principles, but they are of a higher level than society/s rules and values. Society;s set of principles stops at your door and allows you to do what ever you want in your private life. That's not the way it is in God's divine plan. He wants you to live according to His holiness, and He wants you to apply that standard to both your public and private life.
God has called us to be holy, not to live impure lives
Anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not
disobeying human rules but is rejecting God,
who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

What's cooking in your home tonight..

We are having left over chicken pot pie....

The Simple Life

While the poor dream of having riches, the wealthy long for simplicity.
Lottery fever is sweeping the country. The lure of "get rich quick"dangles at the end of every one's line. what a hopeless illusion. Never mind that your have a greater chance of getting struck by lightning while standing on your head in a bowl of corn flakes than of winning the lottery. Quick riches never did anyone any good. They certainly never brought anyone happiness.
We've never been rich, so how do we know that? simple. We've never heard anyone say, "I'm rich and finally I'm happy. " Instead we've heard stuff like "Wealth is a burden,"or "I wish my life were a lot simpler."The truth is , wealth(and neither is there any dishonor in poverty). What matters is your contentment with what you have.
We are merely moving shadows,
and all our busy rushing ends in nothing.
We heap up wealth for someone else to spend.
PSALM 39:6

What is cooking for supper?

Hello Family and friends what is cooking in your house hold for supper tonight?? God Bless

Special Favor

Be glad that your salvation doesn't depend on you, because you aren't good enough.
Jesus did more than show us a better way to live. He abolished the need for rules-there is no standard of conduct by which we are measured.By sacrificing His life for us, He did us a "special favor."He made it possible for us to satisfy God's perfect standard by His forgiveness rather than on our own performance.
Don't fall into the trap of hanging on to the old rules as a way of satisfying God. Don't think that by doing everything right, you'll be good enough for God. You can't do it, so don't even try. Make no mistake about it. Righteous living pleases God, but the only way to gain salvation is to accept the forgiveness that is available through Jesus.
Your lifestyle should be in response to God's love, not an attempt to win His love,
by the special favor of the Lord Jesus."
ACTS 15:11

Falsey Accused

There's no dishonor in being falsely accused;it happens to the best of us.
Being falsely accused is difficult to handle. In fact, it may be one of the most difficult personal obstacles you will ever face-and you will face it. If  you don't believe that, think about Jesus. He faced accusations that contained on shred of truth. He was brought before the great religious and political leaders of His day and falsely accused of many charges. Jesus could have defended Himself, but He was silent. Why?
Jesus was willing to let His life speak of itself. he knew that God would vindicate Him when others try to discredit you, you are willing to let God defend you? if you are falsely accused and suffer for doing right, don't assume you are the only one who can protect and defend your reputation. Do what Jesus did and trust that Go will take care of the situation.
For we know the one who said,
"I will take vengeance. I will repay those who deserve it."
