Thankfullness

Never expect gratitude,
but always express appreciation.
You'll be constantly disappointed if you are expecting gratitude from people for whatever you do. Your hard work is most likely appreciated, but few people will have the sensitivity to say anything to  you about it. Most people won't even stop to consider that anyone is responsible. They'll just enjoy the benefits of your labor without any expression of thankfulness.
You can learn a valuable lesson from the people who never convey their gratitude:Don't be like that. Express your appreciation when someone does something for you. It may be an employee, or a waiter, or a family member. Throughout your entire day, people are engaged in activities that help you in some way. Develop the habit of expressing your gratitude to them. (And while you're at it, remember to thank God for all that He continues to do for you.)
It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to the Most High.
It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning
your faithfulness in the evening..
PSALM 92:1-2

  1. Oh this hit the spot.

Yes, it is so very important to express gratitude to the clerks and waiters or anyone who serves or gives. Many times this is our real character how we treat people who are serving us.

We just had some hurtful experiences this past year as my daughter moved her Bible study to another location. We received one written thank you and two complaints out of 60.

It is so important we learn from these things and do for an Audience of One. It can be difficult at times though admittedly when we work so hard and people are so very thoughtless. It hurts. Can you imagine how Jesus must feel?

    Great blog.
