You can acquire wisdom over time, but God promises to give it to you if you ask.
What would you do if God offered you anything you wanted? What would would ask for? God posed this question to Solomon, the son of King David and a king in his own right. How did Solomon respond? He asked for "an understanding mind"( 1 Kings 3:9) . To say God answered His request is an understatement. History records that Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived (for a sampling of his wise words, read the Book of Proverbs.
Would you ask God for wisdom above all else? It seems like pretty good idea. Now, God probably won't give you the same kind of wisdom he gave Solomon, but He has made you the same offer: he will give you wisdom if you ask for it. It's not like you're suddenly going to get super smart. But you will find that as you gain wisdom, you will be gin to see things from God's perspective.
If you need wisdom-if you want to know what God wants you to do -ask him, and he will gladly tell you.

Oh, I do want wisdom! It is such a wonderful thing to ask God for isn't it? Thank you for this devotion! I pray for wisdom a lot.
